Continuing our studies on Corydalis species growing in Turkey, from which isoquinoline alkaloids have been isolated, we have investigated another species, Corydalis solida subsp. brachyloba (Papaveraceae, Fumarioideae). As a result (+)-fumarophycine (1), (-)-corpaine (2), (-)-ophiocarpine (3), 13-methyl-columbamine (4), (1)-corydalidzine (5), (+)-fumarit ine (6), (-)-africanine (7) and (-)-corybrachylobine (8) have been obtained along with other isoquinoline alkaloids (+)-fumariline (+), parfumine, (+/-)-sibiricine, (-)-canadine, (-)-sinactine, (-)-corydalmine, (+)-scoulerine, berberine, dehydrocorydaline, oxocularine, oxosarcocapnidine, (+)-bicuculline, (+)-alpha-hydrastine, (+)-bulbocapnine, (+)-isoboldine, norsanguinarine, (+)-chelidimerine, protopine, beta-allocryptopine, (-)-norjusiphine and corydaldine. The minor alkaloid, (-)-corybrachylobine was characterized as a new isoquinoline alkaloid.
