The syntheses of eight 4-(2-oxo-2, 3-dihydro-l, -benzoxazol-3-yl)butanamide derivatives are reported in this study. The chemical structures of these compounds were elucidated by their IR, 'H-NMR spectral data and by the data of their elemental analyses. Antinociceptive activities of the synthesized compounds were tested by the Tail Clip, Hot Plate and Writhing test using dipyrone and aspirin as the standards. According to the results obtained in Writhing test, all the compounds except 4-flu-orophenylpiperazine derivative (10b) were found potent, and the antinociceptive activity of phenylpiperazine (10a), benzylpiperazine (10g); 3-chlorophenylpiperazine (lOd) and 4-(2-oxo-2, 3-dihydro-l, 3-benzoxazol-3-yl)butanoic acid (8) were found higher than that of the standards in the same test.
