Özet

Koroglu is one of the common cultural products of Turkish world. For this reason, while doing research, and producing ideas on Kororglu, it is important to consider all the geographies that the Turks inhabit, and all the cultures around. When Koroglu, who takes place in the narratives of Turkish world from the East to the West, is evaluated from that; respect, it is going to be realized that lie is the real epic hero, and the stories unfold around him, yet, these stories create different variations on different geographies. When these variations about Koroglu are studied, apart from Koroglu's being an epic hero, it is going to be found out that lie acts as a hero in stories, even a hero in fairy tales. When the historical information is taken into consideration, there are also other Koroglu figures in narratives. One of them is the Bard Koroglu who is known to have lived in the 16th century, the other is the one whose nickname is known as Koroglu, registered as brigand in around Bolu. However, according to the data we have, these two Koroglu figures are definitely different persons from each other.
