Abstract

The effect of the preparation method on the dissolution characteristics of ibuprofen (1)-low-molecular gelatin (LMG) solid mixtures has been studied. The 1-LMG solid mixtures in a weight ratio of 1:2 were prepared by the kneading, grinding and co-precipitating methods and dissolution of these was carried out. The interaction of 1 with LMG in aqueous solution and in the solid state was examined by solubility analysis, powder X-ray diffractometry and Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) measurements. Also, the surface tension measurements of samples were performed.
