In this study, the relationships between adolescents' fear of Covid 19 and their social concerns
were examined. Covid 19, which has suddenly entered the lives of individuals in the past
year, unfortunately, makes it necessary to take some measures, including social isolation; It is
thought to be related not only to illness anxiety but also with social anxiety, which is one of
the variables of this study. The study was conducted on 468 individuals between the ages of
12 and 19. In the study, Fear of COVID-19 Scale adapted to Turkish by Bakioğlu, Korkmaz,
and Ercan (2020) and the social anxiety scale for adolescents adapted to Turkish by Aydın
and Sütcü (2007) were used. As a result of the research, it was found that there is a significant
relationship between Covid 19 and social anxiety. In addition, there was a difference in terms
of gender in the variables of Covid 19 anxiety and social anxiety. Finally, it was found that
Covid 19 anxiety predicts social anxiety in adolescents.
