Öz:
Bu çalışma, mimarlık öğrencilerinin meslek seçimi motivasyonlarını, eğitim süreçlerindeki deneyimlerini, edindikleri becerilerin iş bulmadaki rolüne ilişkin görüşlerini ve mesleki gelecek beklentilerini Gazi Üniversitesi Mimarlık Bölümü son sınıf öğrencileriyle yapılan bir saha araştırması kapsamında incelemektedir. Araştırmada, öğrencilerin tercih ettikleri çalışma alanları, ilk işlerine yönelik maaş ve çalışma koşulu beklentileri ile aldıkları eğitimin (özellikle farklı ders türlerinin) mesleki yeterliliklerine katkısı hakkındaki değerlendirmeleri analiz edilmiştir. Çalışma, mimarlık eğitimi ile öğrencilerin profesyonel hayata dair beklentileri arasındaki uyumu veya uyumsuzluğu saptayarak, eğitimin güncel ihtiyaçlara yanıt verme düzeyini tartışmaya açmayı ve iyileştirme alanlarına işaret etmeyi hedeflemektedir.

Abstract:
This study investigates the motivations behind architecture students' career choices, their experiences during education, their views on the role of acquired skills in finding employment, and their expectations for their professional future, based on a field study conducted with final-year students at Gazi University's Department of Architecture. The research analyzes students' preferred fields of work, their expectations regarding salary and working conditions for their first job, and their assessments of the contribution of their education (particularly different course types) to their professional competence. The study aims to identify the alignment or misalignment between architectural education and students' expectations for professional life, thereby opening a discussion on the extent to which education meets current needs and highlighting areas for improvement.
