Özet

The production of building brick possessing good mechanical properties by the addition of volcanic tuffs into the clays has been attempted. Both volcanic tuffs and clays were excavated from the region of Afyon, Turkey. The results showed that the addition of tuffs up to 30% into the brick clays significantly improves the mechanical properties of ordinary building bricks compared to the bricks produced without tuff addition.
