Parameter estimation or compensation of field orientation controlled induction motors is very important in high performance control applications. Closed-loop applications of Extended Kalman Filter algorithm and rotor resistance compensation method to indirect field orientation are described and dynamic performances of field orientation controlled induction motor with both systems are compared. The simulation results are presented.
