Özet

In this research aimed to determine the effects of the color type (neutral, warm, cold) arranged according to the single color harmony in the interior and equipment elements of the open offices, where people spend an important part of their lives, on the perceptual evaluations of the participants. Unlike previous studies, the color variant was used not only on the wall, but also on the reinforcements. In the study, virtual open office spaces modeled according to three different color types may have an impact on the perceptual evaluations of the participants. The research hypotheses focused on the correlation of the colors used in open offices with independent variables such as design education, gender and age. In order to test these research hypotheses, the participants were asked to evaluate the open office spaces via the questionnaire created in online form. Confidence tests were made with the SPSS program of the obtained data, percentage values, mean and standard deviation values were calculated, and the differences between the variables were analyzed. As a result, the space in which warm colors are used is perceived more positively than the spaces in which neutral and cold colors are used. In addition, the participants who did not receive design education, men and participants in the 25-35 age group made more positive evaluations than those who received design education, women and participants in the 36-45 age group.
