Özet

The major characteristic of Azerbaijan population is its diversity by ethnical structure. There are almost more than 30 ethnical groups' members living in Azerbaijan. However this diversity in Azerbaijan population has been changed during Soviet times and after its independence by different reasons. Especially by Karabag War and the immigration of many peoples from Azerbaijan after its independence there have been great changes in countries ethnical structure. So, in comparison with Azerbaijanian Turk, it has been distinguished that by every counting period the other ethnical groups' total amount is decreasing. The major groups are Lezgies, Russians and Armenians. The main aspect of multinational structure in Azerbaijan is tolerance and stability.
