Özet

Objective: Autism is a chronic neurodevelopmental disorder with an aetiology that is not fully understood. Published findings have identified widespread changes in the immune systems of children with autism. The latest findings show that the pathophysiology of autism may be associated with cellular immunity. Neopterin is a good indicator of cellular immunity, and changes in neopterin may have diagnostic importance.
