Özet

This work introduces the design and development of a test environment that will convert RS232,

RS422 or RS485, SPI and I2C serial communication protocols into USB in a single device. For this

purpose, a test box is designed with a USB interface on one side to connect to the computer and 4 ports

that can communicate with external devices on the other side. These ports can be programmed using

a software developed by author. Using this software, 4 ports can be independently set as for different

protocols. If the test box is to be used without interface software, it can be directly connected to the

computer, in this case all ports will be RS232 or RS422 by default. In this way, it is aimed that the

test box can be used without the need for software if it is used only for UART protocol purposes. As

a result of this study, a compact test box with 4 independent ports, which can communicate with the

computer via USB, where 5 different type of serial communication protocols can be tested and used, is

obtained. The content of the study includes the differences of this test box from others on the market, its

compact structure, PCB design with Altium, software interface, usage combinations with different serial

communication protocols, and performance test results of the test box.
