Fixed-time reaching law has emerged as a topic of growing interest among researchers in recent years. This paper proposes an enhanced robust sliding mode control methodology utilizing a fixed-time reaching law for regulating the speed of permanent magnet synchronous motors. Firstly, the permanent magnet synchronous motors model is introduced. Secondly, the proposed control design is carried out on its. By improving the fixed-time reaching law control rule, the chattering is reduced. Furthermore, the suggested approach operates autonomously regardless of the initial conditions. Finally, the superiority of the proposed method is emphasized by comparing it with classic sliding mode control and existing reaching law methods with simulations in Matlab/Simulink. The results of simulation studies uphold the superior performance of the proposed control approach.
