New generation sulfonylureas as a herbicide: In vivo vs. Molecular Docking Results

As a research group, we emphasize to synthesize new types of sulfonylureas to handle resistance problem. Due to this aim, our sulfonylureas contain two pharmacophore groups: pyrimidinone and sulfonylurea. The pyrimidinone group shows herbicidal activity, known from patents received. Molecular docking calculations; made with Schrödinger suite (2020); of these compounds have a reasonable result. To compare docking results with experiments, it was performed in vivo experiments to directly apply on some herbs, wheat, corn and tomato etc. According to these results, we can assume pre-emergent and post-emergent herbicides. Then, metal complexes of these compounds will be synthesized and test with same experiment procedures.
