Özet

The biology of Lepidoptera (Insecta), characterized by traits such as rapid reproduction, short life cycles, host plant specificity, and a wide host range, is closely linked to host-plant strategies. Host plants play a crucial role in the development of the larval stage. This study investigates Lepidoptera species distributed in Turkey, whose larvae feed on Astragalus species (commonly known as milkvetch). A comprehensive review of the literature on the larval host plants of Lepidoptera was conducted, and an updated list was compiled. A total of 53 Lepidoptera species feeding on 35 Astragalus species have been documented. These species are presented along with their distribution in Turkey and the relevant references. This research is expected to contribute to studies on larva-host plant relationships and conservation efforts.
