Engineering management is a form of management specializing in engineering applications and people. Engineering fields; Manufacturing, design, industry, space, food, or any other area where engineering activities are performed. Especially in large-scale projects, it has become a necessity. This study focused on planning which is one of the 4 main functions of engineering management. Planning refers to the process of deciding what to do and how to do it. Good planning requires a process that clearly defines the steps leading to the most appropriate solutions. In recently published articles investigation of the current state of engineering management is searched. The phases of the planning are described and methods of use in different engineering fields are given. In this case, a research paper was prepared to address different engineering areas instead of a single use in the area.
