Metabolic syndrome; It is a
condition characterized by hyperinsulinemia, dyslipidaemia, glucose
intolerance, hypertension and insulin resistance. In addition to genetic
research on metabolic syndrome, experimental models are being created with
various diets, the most commonly used being fructose diets to investigate
formation mechanisms and treatment methods. However, due to differences in the
study plan, such as the strain of the rat used (Wistar, Sprague Dawley), the
route and amount of fructose administration (10-20% with drinking water, oral
administration), the age of the animals (young or adult), and differences in
the duration of the experiment, Metabolic consequences vary.
