Capacitive Power Transfer (CPT) is an alternative way to transfer power using high frequency electric fields instead of magnetic field wirelessly. According to the inductive power transfer, capacitive power transfer has gaining more popularity due to the low cost, less power loss around metal objects and better misalignment performance. In past years, CPT has preferred for low power applications such as USB level and laptop charging etc. However, improved compensation techniques and capacitive coupler structures provide using for high power applications. In this paper, design and analysis of the Class E type low power and double sided LCLC compensated full bridge inverter type high power applications in CPT systems are considered.
