Cerambycidae and Chrysomelidae (Coleoptera) species of olive orchards in Edremit Bay (Turkey, Balıkesir) with new records to Turkish fauna

Özet

The study was carried out in the years 2019-2020 in the olive orchads of Edremit, Havran, Burhaniye, Gömeç and Ayvalık districts in the Edremit Bay Region of Balıkesir province. As a result of the study, a total of 20 species (3 species of 3 genera belonging to 2 subfamilies in Cerambycidae family, and 17 species of 10 genera belonging to 5 subfamilies in Chrysomelidae family) were identified in the olive orchards of Edremit Bay Region. The species Coptocephala rubicunda (Laicharting) (Chrysomelidae: Clytrinae) and Longitarsus candidulus (Foudras) (Chrysomelidae: Alticinae) that are represented with nominate subspecies, are recorded for the first time from Turkey. Besides, 6 species in Chrysomelidae family are new to Marmara region of Turkey. Additionally, 2 species in Cerambycidae family and 9 species in Chrysomelidae family are the first record for Balıkesir province. The most common species is found Chaetocnema tibialis Illiger (Chrysomelidae: Alticinae) (31.9%). Distribution of total number of species by districts are as such: Edremit (57.4%), Havran (19.1%), Gömeç (10.6%), Ayvalık (8.5%) and Burhaniye (4.3%).
