Özet

The poems written by Bektashi poets known as "nefes" have a prominent place in the Turkish mystic literature regarding to their literal and philosophical features and are of great importance for the Turkish music culture due to their style, type and melodical richness. However the composers of most of the nefes are not known. Nefes is performed with Baglama or other instruments such as Ud, Kanun, Tanbur, Ney, Kemenche, or Bendir. There has been 87 composed nefes compiled by the compilation committee of Istanbul Conservatoire supervised by Ali Rifat Cagatay, RaufYekta Bey, Zekaizade Ahmet Irsoy and Dr. Suphi Bey in 1933 as regording to their themes, maqam, styles and types and melodical and rhythmic features.
