Özet

Direct Energy Deposition (DED) is one of the laser-based additive manufacturing methods for the production of

functional metallic parts. DED process, which started with the use of the renovation processes of aerospace parts, has

been offering direct part production in the last decades. Numbers of experimental and theoretical studies have been done

for the manufacturing of stainless steel parts by using additive manufacturing processes. This paper covers a

comprehensive review of modeling methods, experimental and theoretical studies for the production of stainless steel

parts, or another material for additive manufacturing applications.
