Abstract

Influence of parameters of joining on properties of the mild steels welded by friction is investigated. For this goal, low-carbon steel (LCS) is welded to AISI 1040 steel by friction welding. Mechanical properties and variation in hardness of the welded interfaces that is correlated to features of a microstructure are determined. At last, the most suitable parameters of friction welding for the assembled material are revealed.
