In this study, electropolishing parameters were determined for a powder metal steel. In experimental study, effects of voltage and anode-cathode distance were investigated on the current, the deposition rate, the temperature of electrolyte and on the surface condition. 20% nitric acid has been as electrolyte used in this study. Voltage was varied between 8-12 V, and anode-cathode distance was varied between 30-80 mm. Experimental studies had shown that at 12 V and 20 A current conditions, electropolishing was 8.5 times faster and the surface quality was better in anode-cathode distance of 80 mm than 30 mm anode-cathode distance.
