Özet
Amaç: Diastema, dişler arası boşluk veya yetersiz kontaktlarla karakterize bir dental anomalidir.
Anterior dişlerde görülen boşluklar estetiği olumsuz etkiler. Günümüzde diastemalar non-invaziv
restoratif yöntemlerle kolaylıkla tedavi edilebilmektedir. Bu olgu sunumunun amacı orta hat
diastemasının direk kompozit rezinle restore edilip klinik takiple estetiğin değerlendirilmesidir. Vaka
Raporu: 31 yaşındaki bayan hasta üst santral dişleri arasındaki boşluğun yarattığı estetik sorunlar
nedeniyle kliniğimize başvurdu. Yapılan intraoral muayene sonucu 11-21 nolu dişlerin direk kompozit
rezinle estetik rehabilitasyonuna karar verildi. Restorasyon uygulanacak yüzeyler 15 sn %37’lik fosforik
asit jel ile pürüzlendirildi, yıkama ve kurutma işlemlerinden sonra bağlayıcı ajan (single bond universal
adeziv, 3M) uygulandı. Hazırlanan silikon indeks yardımıyla dişler üzerinde kompozit rezinin mine
rengiyle “palatal shell” oluşturuldu. Bölümlü matriksin yerleştirilmesinin ardından Filtek ultimate
universal body ve mine kompozitleri tabakalama tekniğiyle uygulandı. Bitirme ve cila işlemleri 3M
Soflex diamond polisaj sistemiyle tamamlandı. Klinik Sonuç: Silikon anahtar ve posterior bölümlü
matriks kullanımı, kompozit rezinin tabakalanmasını ve konturlama işlemini kolaylaştırmıştır. Diastema
kapatmada kullanılan direk rezin kompozit restorasyonlar kısa zamanda hastayı memnun eden estetik
sonuçlar vermektedir. Minimal invaziv ve ekonomik bir tedavi seçeneğidir. Klinik Sonuç: Diastema
kapatmada uygulanan direk rezin kompozit restorasyonlarla estetik açıdan memnun edici görüntü elde
edildi. Hastanın 6 ay sonra yapılan klinik değerlendirmesinde restorasyonlarında herhangi bir bozulma
ve renk değişikliğine rastlanmadı.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE: Diastema is a dental anomaly characterized by interdental spaces or inadequate
contacts. Gaps between anterior teeth adeversely affect esthetics. Today, diastemas can be easily treated
with non-invasive restorative methods. The aim of this case report is to restore the midline diastema
directly with composite resin and to evaluate the aesthetics with clinical follow-up. CASE REPORT: A
31-year-old female patient applied to our clinic due to aesthetic problems caused by the space between
her upper central teeth. After the intraoral examination, it was decided to rehabilitate the teeth 11-21 with direct composite resin. The surfaces to be restored were roughened with 37% phosphoric acid gel
for 15 seconds, and a bonding agent (single bond universal adhesive, 3M) was applied after washing
and drying. With the help of the prepared silicone index, a “palatal shell” was formed on the teeth with
the enamel color of the composite resin. After the segmented matrix was placed, Filtek ultimate
universal body and enamel composites were applied with the layering technique. It is completed with
3M Soflex diamond polishing system for finishing and polishing processes. The use of a silicone key
and posterior segmented matrix facilitated the layering and contouring of the composite resin. Direct
resin composite restorations used in diastema closure give aesthetic results that satisfy the patient in a
short time. It is a minimally invasive and economical treatment option. CLINICAL
CONCIDERATION: An aesthetically pleasing appearance was obtained with direct resin composite
restorations applied in diastema closure. In the clinical evaluation of the patient after 6 months, no
deterioration or color change was observed in the restorations.
