Thermodynamic analysis of the closed type absorbtion Heat Transformer (AHT) with LiBr/H2O working fluid pair is presented. The number of degrees of freedom of the AHT is determined and five parameters of the system chosen freely in the anaysis. The pressure drop between various units of the AHT is taken into consideration and the effectiveness of the heat-exchangers are assumed. The feed fraction of the AHT is defined as the ratio of the mass flow rate of feed through the High Temperature heat-Exchanger (HTE) to the total mass flow rate of source used in the system. A computer program is developed in BASIC to calculate the coefficient of performance (COP) , theoretical and practical exergetic coefficient of performance (ECOP), circulation ratio and feed fraction of the AHT at different operating conditions. The variation of these parameters with various operating parameters are given by diagrams and compared with the results given in the literature.
