In this study, an eco-drying system is designed in which only solar energy is used, energy is stored and waste heat in the system is recovered. In this design where the operating mode is determined by controlling the temperature and relative humidity according to the type of product to be dried, the defects that may occur in the product and the drying time can be reduced with the determined mode. With different operating modes, maximum benefit from solar energy will be provided, and when solar energy is not utilized, both energy saving and CO2 emissions will be reduced by using the stored energy. With the new generation eco-drying system, the continuity of the drying process will be ensured and energy efficiency will be increased with waste heat support. By continuing the drying process even when the sun is intermittent, the desired quality of the dried product can be obtained with the support of solar energy. The new generation eco dryer, which has an environmentally friendly and sustainable structure, will contribute to the realization of the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement by reducing the carbon footprint.
