In this study, an effective method is proposed for correcting pattern distortion caused by external factors in frequency diverse arrays (FDA). First, the advantages of FDA systems are discussed by mentioning the systematic differences compared to the currently used pattern-shaping methods. Then, in case of a change in spatial coordinates, it is suggested that the broadside radiation characteristic of the system can be preserved by updating the frequency increment between the elements, which is the feature that distinguishes the FDA system from other antenna arrays. Finally, the effect of the disturbance on the radiation pattern of the system and the usability of the proposed method are analyzed through comparative examples.
