Özet

Crioceris duodecimpunctata (Linnaeus, 1758) is a widely distributed Palaearctic species exhibiting notable intraspecific variation, particularly in coloration. We examined 47 specimens collected from Bingöl (Eastern Anatolia, Türkiye) during July–August 2025 to evaluate morphological variability, with emphasis on elytral patterns and genital structures. Elytral spot patterns showed considerable variation, ranging from the typical twelve spots (six per elytron) to reduced configurations with 2, 4 or 5 spots per elytron, while sutural punctation remained consistent in all specimens. Some individuals also exhibited distinctive genitalic features, including a dentiform projection at the apex of the aedeagus. The coexistence of typical and divergent forms within the same locality, together with the lack of geographic isolation, suggests that these differences represent intraspecific variation rather than a distinct taxonomic entity. The Bingöl population is thus interpreted as a microgeographically structured variant shaped by local environmental conditions.
