Dentistry is a branch of science in which precision work and the passive and correct fit of the restorations are extremely important. Especially in prosthetic treatments, various impression materials and impression methods are developed to ensure the desired relationship of the prosthesis to the tooth or implant and their surrounding tissues. As a traditional method, restoration is made by obtaining a plaster model from the measurement taken with impression materials. With this method, there are disadvantages such as measurement or model deformation. There is a transition from traditional methods to digital methods with the development of technology. As digital methods, computer-aided design and computer- aided production are made on the impression taken with intraoral scanners. Although it is accepted that the restoration made in this way shortens the construction time and increases patient comfort, it is accepted that there are deficiencies in transferring the implant positions on the model in three dimensions, and thus placing the prosthesis in the mouth sensitively and passively, especially in implant-supported dental restorations. For this reason, photogrammetry, which aims to determine the spatial position and three-dimensional properties of an object by aligning the photographs taken from many angles, is a preferred method in the field of dentistry due to its versatile applications. Its high accuracy and minimal deviation from the actual model are significant advancements in precision-deriven dental procedures. This review highlightes the information about the use of photogrammetry in dentistry and current research.
