Özet

This study reviews the status of studies on biomass supply chain models. As a renewable alternative energy source, biomass has increasing importance. The supply chain management of biomass is very significant characteristic of the biomass usage. In order for this resource to be viable, the entire supply chain of this resource must be structured and optimized, from the collection stage to the storage and distribution stage. The modelling phase is a critical stage in order to achieve an improved supply chain efficiency. The reviews have often focused on assessing certain supply chain problem types to minimize the cost. There is a significant opportunity to develop and expand modelling processes. In this study, many current models are analysed that have developed different approaches for different scenarios and situations. Although this study largely benefits from the research presented in the study of Nunes et al. in 2020 [1], it provides a comprehensive analysis of biomass supply chain management by particularly examining the recent literature and presenting an exemplary mathematical model. It is aimed that the comprehensive analysis presented in this study will be a beneficial guide for the decision makers working on supply chain management problems for biomass.
