Abstract

The purpose of this study was to demonstrate a methodological approach to teaching the literary heritage of the Golden Horde, which is an element of the cultural and historical heritage of medieval Eurasia. The research methodology was based on an interdisciplinary approach combining historical, cultural, literary, and pedagogical analysis, which focused on the examination of scientific studies on the Golden Horde and modern methodological developments for teaching its literary heritage. In this study, interdisciplinarity involves the integration of history, literary studies, cultural studies, and pedagogy. The significance of integrating historical, cultural, and literary perspectives in analysing texts was explored to demonstrate the relationship between literary works and larger phenomena in medieval Eurasian culture. A systematic comparison was conducted, which confirmed the need for an interdisciplinary approach to clarify the socio-cultural context of works created during the Golden Horde. The study found that a thorough understanding of the historical and cultural context is key to the correct interpretation of literary monuments, which contributes to the understanding of changes in cultural norms and social processes. The study demonstrates that the proposed teaching methodology is based on the principles of combining conventional and innovative approaches, including the use of interdisciplinary methods that combine history, literature, and cultural analysis. It was found that the integration of these methods into university curricula may contribute to a better understanding the significance of the literary heritage of the Golden Horde, broaden their horizons, promote critical thinking skills, and improve the interpretation of historical texts.
