BACKGROUND: The aim of this survey study is to evaluate the feedback of 4th and 5th grade students studying at Gazi University Faculty of Dentistry about their professional experiences during the pandemic period and their plans after graduation. METHODS: The sample of the study consisted of 220 undergraduate students studying in the 4th and 5th grades, who continued their clinical education with certain arrangements during the COVID-19 pandemic period. The opinions of the students about clinical education and plans in survey questions evaluated. Chi-square test and Fisher Freeman Halton Exact Chi-square test were used for statistical analysis. RESULTS: 59.1% of the students stated that they were satisfied with the opportunity to care for patients when appropriate conditions were provided during the pandemic period. 55.5% of the students wanted to see more patients during their clinical internship education, 55.5% of them stated that the pandemic process and 60.5% of them stated that they wanted to specialize after graduation. CONCLUSION: The data show that the majority of 4th and 5th year dentistry students think that caring for a large number of patients during their clinical education will be good for their education and they want to receive specialization education after their graduation. In the light of these data, it may be considered to make some arrangements in order not to affect the education in a profession where practical education is very important, such as dentistry, in extraordinary situations such as pandemics.
