Özet

A novel 2D mixed valence polymeric CuI/CuII complex {[(edp)CuI[CuII(dpc)2]CuI(edp)].7H2O}n (1) of 2,6-pyridinedicarboxylic acid (H2dpc) and 4,4′-ethylenedipyridine (edp) was obtained and characterized by X-ray crystallographic, elemental analysis, atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS), FTIR, UV-Visible spectroscopy, magnetic moment, and molar conductive analyses. The complex crystallized in the P-1 space group in the triclinic crystal system. The structure of 1 contains one CuII) (Cu1) and two CuI (Cu2, and Cu3) cations, two dpc2− anions as a bridge, two edp, and seven uncoordinated water molecules. While Cu1 has an distorted octahedral geometry, Cu2 and Cu3 have a T-shaped geometry. The Cu2 and Cu3 atoms on both edp's have symmetry centers, and the structure has formed a polymer chain via the symmetric atoms.
