From Kazakh's Villages to Celebration Halls a Popularized Kazakh's Tradition: Tusavkeser Celebration

Abstract

One of the devotedly traditions among Kazakh people from past to present is tusavkeser celebration which is one of the post natal practices and the celebration the first steps of the child. Kazakh people have managed to transmit tusavkeser celebration from past to present vividly. Moreover, tusavkeser celebrations adopted to changing time and space have obtained as a popularized traditions including whole qualifications of popular culture in nowadays. At this point, it comes to mind that which one is more important the conservation of tradition without changing or contiunity of tradition keep pace with lifestyle change? In this article, it has discussed traditional tusavkeser celebrations in the past and popularized tusavkeser celebrations in nowadays. In line with semi-structured interviews with eight married and three single Kazakh students educated in Turkey and with reference to tusavkeser celebration's videos in social media which organized by special companies it has been questioned that which one is more important the conservation of tradition without changing or contiunity of tradition keep pace with lifestyle change? At the same time, in this article it has mentioned that tusavkeser practices in Turkic World and Anatolia and has revealed the similarities and differences of these practices. It has been concluded that as is seen in tusavkeser example, despite the changing conditions, Kazakh people have managed to transmit this tradition being part of their local cultures and national identities from generations to generations by achieving transform it.
