Özet

Objective: Diabetes is associated with a hypercoagulable state. Blood hypercoagulability may accelerate atherosclerosis and diabetic microvascular complications. The fibrinogen level is an essential component of inflammation, coagulation and fibrinolysis. The aim of this study was to investigate the role of fibrinogen in the development and progression of diabetic microvascular complications.
