The Hizir cult associated with ceromonies held by Turkish to commenities celebrate the end of winter and the beginning of spring has shaped the wishes to be realized by Hizir The practies performed by people so that their wishes should be materialized account for the Hizir's functions and hence those of Hidrellez.
