Özet

Columns are powerful structures in civil engineering applications with their material saving, lightweight characteristics and cheapness. Column with angled holes were examined for bending loading using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) with various parameters. During the analysis, beam was fixed supporting and then load was applied in several situations. The loading scenario were on the tip of the column and uniformly distributed loadings. Young's Modulus was changed to represent different kind of materials for column structure like 90000, 120000, 190000, 210000, 225000, 250000 MPa. Stress and deformation results were evaluated under various loading situations. These scenarios were modeled in ANSYS software. FEA results and empirical results were compared with each other. Stress concentration factor value were determined for 2 different loading states. It was noticed that FEA found practical and reliable method for bending analysis of column.
