Abstract

Supplier is the person, institution or firm that purchases the raw materials, products or semi-products which is necessary to produce a product or a service. Supplier selection is the determination of the most suitable suppliers in line with the demands of the enterprises. The fact that procurement costs have a large share in the total cost has increased the importance of the supplier selection decision in the success of the companies. Supplier selection is a multi-criteria decision-making problem that requires consideration of many qualitative and quantitative criteria. In this study, it was aimed to make supplier selection by using LINMAP and TOPSIS methods among multi criteria decision making methods for the most used raw materials (as chipboard, sideband, glue, glass mirror, fasteners, hinge) of a furniture company. Six materials, six criteria and five supplier companies that can satisfy these criteria were determined for the supplier selection problem in a furniture company.
