Özet

Gender identity disorder (GID) is a clinical condition characterized by a persistent feelings of discomfort with one's biological sex or the gender role of one's sex. In this report a case of GID in a 15 years old female, whose symptoms begin after puberty was discussed. It was aimed to explain the situation of the girl in which gender identity changes through adolescent period who has chronic trauma throughout childhood and the characteristic effects of the family dynamics on the development of sexual identity.
