Abstract

This study was conducted to provide a point of view scaling methods using in social sciences and to determine the consistency between the scaling value obtained from two different scaling procedure which were based judgment decision. An attitude scale toward using addictive substances (BYM) have been used as data collection instrument. 84 academician and psychology have been used as judge in this study. A series scaling procedure have been conducted to obtain scaling values for two scaling approaches. In order to determine relationship between scaling values obtained from two different scaling procedures, the Spearman Brown rho correlation coefficient has been calculated. The study revealed that there was low relationship between scale value obtained from two different scaling procedure based on judgement decision and this findings could be used as a evidence that these two scaling procedure have not been produced similar results.
