Özet

In this study, the effects of laser welding parameters on the mechanical properties of AA2024 aluminum parts jointed with laser welding were investigated in the laser welding process this has been started using on joint of aluminum alloy. The reason preferring of AA2024 is that aluminum material has been widely used in aerospace and manufacturing industry. Laser power (kW), laser intensity (kW/mm2) and Pulse energy (j) were selected as process parameters. For this reason, all samples were classified for three groups and different parameter was compared in every group. Microstructure characterization, micro hardness measuring and tensile test were carried out in order to understand the effects of welding parameters on mechanical properties. Experimental study showed that the optimum mechanical properties were obtained on first group samples. Heat effected zone is widen with increasing of laser power and this result causes the negative effects on mechanical properties.
