Özet

In this paper, a physical activity monitor for monitoring of physiological parameters and the physical energy consumed, which is compatible with the stationary bicycle developed for conversion mechanical energy coming out in fitness centers to electrical energy is designed and implemented. To calculate the burned energy indirect method is used and duration of exercise, exercise speed and the number of burned calories are measured. By using a pulse oximeter, the user's heart rate (in bpm) and oxygen gas saturation in blood (% SpO2) are measured. Thus, the spent energy during the exercise can be traced and, in a risk of health a warning will be given. In this study, a more conscious exercise was aimed and an eco-friendly system was created by obtaining the energy required to operate the system from an exercise bicycle that generates clean electricity. Performed exercise monitor was tested on this stationary bicycle.
