Purpose: This study has been conducted in order to evaluate the satisfaction of the women hospitalized in the Gynaecology Service with the service they receive. Materials ve Methods: A total of 224 patients were included in the study. The data were collected according to "Patient Satisfaction" form. The test of importance, the difference between pairs (t-test), Wilcoxon matching, the test of importance between the mean of two groups, variance analysis and Mann Whitney U test were used for the statistical evaluation. Kruskal Wallis's multiple matching z test and Bonferroni's correction test were used for binary comparison. Results: According to the study, the patients did not seem to be satisfied with the nursing service (p<0.05). The following are the services which patients were satisfied with: continuousness in care, providing security and nurse's approach to the relatives of the patients. The followings are some fields with which the patients are not satisfied in the nursing service: introduction of the service to the patients, approach and attention of nurses, offering information when needed and nursing applications (p<0.05). Conclusion: In general the patients were not satisfied with the nursing service. It is recommended that in service education especially on patient education and communication needs to be given to nurses in order to increase patient satisfaction in nursing services and also some arrangements in terms of practical issues needs to be done.
