AMC Additive Manufacturing Conference , Antalya, Türkiye, 28 - 30 Nisan 2025, ss.115, (Özet Bildiri)
In this contribution, the effect of heat treatment operations on SLM processed 17-4 PH material was deeply investigated. For that purpose, the micro-structural and macro-mechanical properties were analyzed in terms of phase compositions, hardness and impact toughness. Due to the substantial modifications on the micro-structure, the macromechanical properties severely altered which indicated that a proper phase composition is compulsory to achieve an optimum point for harness-toughness conflict. The result of direct aging trial provided pretty good results which emphasize that this method may assess potential use in industrial applications. The elimination of solution treatment definitely reduces the cost of production which would be an invaluable outcome for serial production. The phenomena of reverted austinite especially its link with the direct aging process will be discussed as a future work study.
