In this study, Inconel 625 annealed alloy has been studied by resistance spot and seam welding techniques that are frequently used in the aerospace industry. Microstructural and hardness properties have been discussed. Partial melting zone has been noticed in spot-welded specimen whereas this zone did not appear in seam-welded specimen. Laves phase are formed in eutectic structure with γ phase in partial melting zone. On the other hand, the amount of Laves phases are lower in fusion zone of both samples. Maximum hardness values are obtained in HAZ of the samples. Resistance seam-welded specimen presents higher hardness in fusion zone. The results of this study can provide a good reference for industrial resistance weld applications.
