Özet

MIG/MAG welding processes have recently become more significant in autonıotive body production. MAG welded automobile body manufactured using different shielding gas combinations come across the mechanical stresses especially dynamic stresses when running road. In this study, FeP04 (St 14) type automobile body sheet has been MAG welded witb different shielding gas combinations and then mechanical properties of joints have been investigated. Visual inspection has been applied to welded sheets and then tensile test has been carried out specimens respectively. As a result, effect of gas combinations can affect the mecbanical properties of joints has been examined and also some suggesttions have been given to automobile body manufactures.
