The purpose of this research is to make an evaluation of primary education Life Sciences coursebooks and workbooks according to the views of the teachers. The participants of the study were 89 classroom teachers. A questionnaire which was developed by the researcher was applied to the study group. The research findings revealed that the coursebook series Life Sciences were sufficient or partly sufficient in terms of relevance of content to real life, suitability of concepts to the students' level, and the agreement of visual components with texts whereas they were insufficient in some other respects such as providing enough examples to facilitate outcomes and enabling students to play active roles in classes. As to the workbooks, it was found that they were in some ways lacking in activities that facilitate learning and in visual elements, as well as in measurement and evaluation activities. In addition, recommendations for developing Life Sciences coursebook series and workbooks were made in the research.
