This study presents optimization of process parameters using Taguchi design method in finish turning of austempered ductile iron. An orthogonal array of L(18) was used; ANOVA was performed to identify significant factors affecting surface roughness (R(a)) and primary cutting force (F(c)). Optimum processes parameter combination was acquired by using analysis of signal-to-noise (SIN) ratio. For R(a) and F(c). values, prediction error was found to be within the confidence limit at 95% confidence level.
