This study examines students’ perceptions of the effectiveness of intensive English classes offered by the voluntary English preparatory school of a state university in Türkiye, using the Context Input-Process-Product (CIPP) program evaluation model. A mixed-methods approach was employed, with quantitative data collected via a previously validated questionnaire and qualitative data gathered through open-ended questions. Eighty-four preparatory students, all of whom had studied at the school in previous academic years, participated. Quantitative data were analysed using SPSS 21 and interpreted through descriptive statistics, while qualitative data were examined using content analysis. Findings from both data sets were consistent. Results indicated that students were dissatisfied with the physical conditions of the school and with the program in terms of speaking skills, although they expressed satisfaction with their teachers. Based on these findings, it is concluded that greater emphasis should be placed on developing listening and speaking skills, and that improvements are needed in the school’s physical environment.
