According tothe ESLS, gender was not found to be an effective variable on abuse, and year of publication was found to be a significant moderator (SMD: -0.100, 95% CI: -0.229/-0.030; Z=- 1.507, p=0.132, I2=80.118). In the subgroup analysis conducted for the education variable of the ESTS, it was found that the level of education was an effective variable, and the study population, university type and year of publication were significant moderators. It was concluded that gender and education variables were effective in reducing childhood abuse and neglect.
